"We the people" are all different.

Different shapes, personalities, ambitions, and beliefs. Yet beneath all those differences lies something we share: none of us wants to be judged.

Every day we step into the world carrying expectations — responsibilities, roles, obligations. We smile when we may not feel like smiling. We say the right things. We perform the parts we’re expected to play.

In many ways, we all wear masks. Not the kind that cover our faces, but the kind that protect our vulnerability. They shield us from criticism, from misunderstanding, from the weight of other people’s opinions.

The Neigh Sayers collection grew from this idea.

Rather than painting human faces, I chose the noble presence of horses. Horses possess an honesty that people often hide. Their expressions are raw, instinctive, and unfiltered. Through them, I explore the emotions we frequently conceal — doubt, strength, defiance, and quiet resilience.

Sometimes it’s easier to tell the truth through another creature.

And sometimes the most honest portrait of humanity…
is not human at all.
